“Hey” Original Song by Catherine Boynton

In honor of submitting all of my college applications (all 25 of them!), I decided to post my wildcard video.

Throughout my college application and audition process, many of the musical theatre departments requested a ‘wildcard video’ submission, amongst many other submissions. The wildcard video presented applicants with the opportunity to demonstrate who they are as a person. I decided to write, record, and produce a song introducing myself. Hope you enjoy!

Catherine Receives Critics’ Choice Award at the State-Level International Thespian Society Festival

Catherine received the very honored Critics’ Choice award for her solo performance of “Me and Ricky” at the Florida Thespian Virtual State Festival in March 2021. She was eligible for this competition after winning straight superiors for all of her events at the district level.

“Me and Ricky” from The Theory of Relativity by Neil Bartram is about a young woman being forever changed by the relationship her friends tried to warn her about.

Please note: This piece is ‘asterisk’ for frank talk of death, substance abuse, and sexual situations. So, please. . .if you feel you may be uncomfortable or offended by this, please do not watch this video.

I hope you enjoy getting to know Fabi Aguirre as much as I did in this episode of the Kravis Center’s Young Professional Actors: WE DID IT. SO CAN YOU. Her professional career began shortly after when she was cast as Little Cosette in LES MISERABLES on Broadway. Later, Fabi was cast as Little Gloria and an original cast member of Broadway’s ON YOUR FEET. Her professional journey led her to the film industry, including a pilot show for Nickelodeon, and the opportunity to join Acapop, an a cappella group created by a Pentatonix band member and comprised of all kids. Enjoy!!

“First Burn” Cover

I finally finished this little project of mine!! “First Burn” was Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first draft of the song “Burn” from the original Broadway production of HAMILTON . The song was eventually produced in 2018, by Mike Elizondo (music arranged by Alex Lacamoire) and was originally performed by five women: Ari Afsar, Julia Harriman, Lexi Lawson, Rachelle Ann Go, and Shoba Narayan. Each of the women played the starring role of Eliza in HAMILTON.

For my cover, I placed a sixth woman into the mix to balance the video production. 🙂 I performed all the Vocals, did all the Music/Song Production, as well as the Video Production/Editing. Enjoy!!!
